BABY MONKEY FENG SHUI YOUR BABY

Pink is for girls, blue is for boys. But that’s not necessarily true for the daughter of a Feng Shui consultant.   Elizabeth Wong would often come home from school to find her bedroom rearranged or repainted according to what was auspicious that day.    Little did she know at such a young age, that her mom had influenced her future career.

Elizabeth was born and raised in New York and eventually moved to Connecticut with her mother during her college years.  She completed a degree in psychology at Fairfield University but headed straight into the film and TV industry to follow in her mother’s footsteps as a full time wardrobe stylist. However, Elizabeth soon found herself spending time in front of the camera as a model and actress which included parts in NYPD Blue and commercials such as Wendy’s as well as freelancing as a wardrobe stylist for catalogs, magazines and commercials.  When not performing, she kept herself busy by helping her mother with Feng Shui consultations and designing tee shirts for friends and family as a hobby.

After creating Feng Shui inspired baby onesies for her friends for their baby showers, Elizabeth realized that expecting moms appreciated her designs for being both hip and adorable but also because it made them laugh. By tying all these various elements of her life together, she decided to form a company in 2006 and Baby Monkey was born.

Baby Monkey seeks to introduce Asian culture and Feng Shui to a child early in life so that beneficial chi (energy) can be cultivated from the very beginning. The choice to use organic cotton gives a newborn or child further safeguard from harmful exposure that could effect their future health.  You can find Baby Monkey online at www.babymonkeyny.com, and in select retailers in the NYC area. The line include onesies, and t-shirts for children and adults.
